I've got a backup drive with a program for both computers, but every
time I say I'm going to run the program, something always comes up.

I back up dox and things I can't replace on a thumb every couple of days.
I am faithful at burning CD's of the things above monthly, usually on
the first or soon after. And sometimes I have multiple CD's since they
are known to fail at times.
I don't know how many photo's I've lost on a CD only to find it has
failed when I want to find one. And one's that couldn't be replaced.
I had some I had scanned from hard copies and could re-scan those with
no problem, just the time involved.

To quote the cartoon where the woman asks her husband "Does this dress
make me look fat??", I have the same reply. "Do I look stupid??!!" :P

Speaking of which, on one local radio station around 7:37am Central
Time Monday through Friday, they do "stupid news"...stories of people
    doing stupid things.

The best example I remember was a guy taking a selfie of himself in
front of his stash of marijuana plants that he was growing in his
greenhouse, and put it on his cellphone. He lost the phone, and who
should find it?? The police!! <BG>.

I back up dox and things I can't replace on a thumb every couple of days.

    Sometimes, these taglines seem appropriate...

    1) Backups?? We don't need no steenking backups!!
    2) Backup My Hard Drive?? How do I put it in reverse??

I have some of those on file...it's amazing how stupid some people
    are.

One I remember is where this guy brutally murdered his family, then
climbed up a high voltage tower (how he got up there, I'll never know).
Well, while he was up there, nature called, but the stream never hit the
wire. The current arced back, zapped the guy, and he fell to his death.
His groin area was smoldering when they found his body.
