the operating systems. It included Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista, 7,
and 8 (it was created before Windows 10). The 95, 98, and 2000 domiciles
were rather small...XP, 7, and 8, were real nice. Vista was "upside
down". <G>
When I upgraded, other than 10, it was when the pc was the shop for
something (usually something I did to cause the problem) and the wizards JM>there installed it, usually free, along with a copy of a back up install JM>disk.
When I installed 10 (free upgrade from MS) I thought "This won't take
long" but it was hours while the PC churned away downloading, installing, JM>rebooting, etc.
I've heard so many horror stories with it, but "Microsoft is forcing
folks to upgrade" to get the "security updates". The thing is, $200+ a
pop is rather pricey, IMO (I'm a frugal cheapskate).
All the others, including the one I have now and my laptop have all
been used, brought off either eBay or Walmart's refurbished site and all JM>had the latest version of Windows on it and all for under $200.
I have brought only HP's for years. To me they're the best. The worst
I had was a Dell laptop. Its been stored in the closet for years and can JM>make you a deal on it if you want.
Mr Haney, uh, Joe
How much is your commission fee?? :P
How much is your commission fee?? :P
As the Rolls-Royce salesman said to a customer asking the price of a
new Rolls, "If you have to ask you can't afford it". :)
