Mine is a railroad crossing signal bell. When it went off at a local
car dealership (I had the car in for servicing), one customer said "I'm jealous". <G>

I have tried several times to download different ring tones to my iPhone
    to no avail.
Apple has a different system over my old androids.
With them I could download and simply move over to the ringtone folder.
    Not so with the iPhone.
But its no real big deal.
My general ringtone is an old phone bell, and the English ring-ring.
I have only a few special ringtones (that came with the phone) for
    special people.

My ringtone is no ringtone at all. I don't use my phone as a
phone :) - although I can have unlimited talk and text.

    Joe,

    Technology, phooey!! <G>

Apple is real picky with its apps. Android does updates nearly daily.

My general ringtone is an old phone bell, and the English ring-ring.
I have only a few special ringtones (that came with the phone) for special people.

    Blue Light At K-Mart?? <G>

    Are you on sale?? <g,d,r>

Mine is mostly a phone and that for work reasons. (I have never called someone just to chat. I always feel I'm interrupting them).
And I have never been one, other than work related, to tear across a
room to answer a phone before the second ring. I can tell by ring tones if important or not.
If I'm not doing something important I'll glance to see who its from.
If I can't there is always voice mail, leave a message.
I use it to surf the web once in a while. Usually that is when I'm
dressed and ready for work only to find I have five to ten minutes before I have
to leave. That is generally checking the weather or FB for a few minutes.
When I am on a road trip I use the camera a whole lot.

Back when I had a Morotola Droid phone, all of my ringtones were
    different R2D2 noises.

Hey, I had a Droid, it needed to sound like a 'droid.

That is a nice compliment for your phone! And those R2D2 noises
would be far less annoying than the sounds most people use.

The camera is certainly a handy thing in those darn smartphones.
You'll probably have to wait a long time until your next trip.
There talk of imposing curfews as a regular expectation in 2021.
