That's too bad. I hope Daryl can get things sorted somehow.

There is binkit that is part of Synchronet. It doesn't have all the features that Irex does but it is a very nice and well behaved FTN mailer. Works very much like binkd and is well intigrated in Synchronet.

I'd be more than happy to help him if he needs help, if I had a way of contacting him.

Of course there are many mailers he could use. The Argus type mailers, Argus/Taurus/Radius are also full GUI mailers for Windows he could use.

The choice in mailers can be the hardest part of getting setup, deciding on a mailer and getting it going.. :)

    Ttyl :-),

"Maybe" later this month, or next or not.
He's got a lot on his plate right now and this isn't high on his priority list.
He's had offers of help from several people on Fido who have written to
me and I passed the word along to him. Some directly to him.
But so much has happened in the last year its just getting him down.

Well, much to the shock and disappointment to many folks...."he's
    back". <G>

I still suspect Windows 10 was to blame...but even if that hadn't
occurred, nearly nonstop thunderstorms the last 6 weeks, meant no BBS
work. In the nearly 43 years I've lived here, I've never seen such a
    stormy tornado season.

But, compared to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and other
areas...Arkansas has only gotten "a glancing blow" from the 2020 Spring
    Tornado Season.

Basically, I feel like the old Hee Haw deal..."if it weren't for
bad luck, I'd have no luck at all". First, it was having to get my Mom
into a nursing home, and becoming her Power Of Attorney...then having to
deal with her death 8 months ago, and all that went with it. Then, 2
months after she died, field rats worked their way into the house,
    possibly through the plumbing.

Then, it was the software crash (likely caused by something from
Microsoft Windows 10 Update), then nearly nonstop days of thunderstorms
for 6 weeks. And now, I have laparoscopic hernia surgery needed after
    COVID-19 settles down.

I got with Marc Lewis, my FIDONet hub, last night, and we tweaked
Internet Rex, and I left it up all night. It has remained stable all
this time, so I'm hoping all is well. But, I told all my hubs to REMOVE
the "Continuous Mail" flag from my nodelist entry. In the nearly 43
years of living in Arkansas, this is the stormiest spring tornado season
    I've ever seen.

My luck is so bad that if I were to call the suicide hotline (never
mind the urinary or colon incontinence hotlines), I'd be asked "Can you
    hold, please??". :P
