chopped again... you really need to bring this up with your BBS operator

I dropped Doc a note a few minutes ago inquiring about this.
It wasn't much more. Just that the information was new to the other
editors to check for anything we missed or not clear.
I recall back in J school and writing a story for whatever reason a particular word was used over and over.
After a while it looked like that word was misspelled and had to check
    the dictionary. :)

    Was she blonde?? :P

    No.
She was smart in her field, but had no idea how computers worked.
    They were just glorified typewriters.

That's where I learned to become a touch typist. I've never had a
    typing course in my life.

Of course, if you find white-out all over your monitor, you know a
blonde has been in your chair. <G>

I took a typing class in HS and learned to touch type on a upright Royal manual. For the longest time that was all I could write on, manuals.
In the Navy we used electrics and I hated those those. The officer in
charge dug out a manual from somewhere for me. (It was just filling in forms, no letters or anything like that. Sort of pre-historic data entry).
I could neeeeeever gettt the hannggg of electricsssssssssss. I have a
bad tendency to rest my fingers on the keys at times.
In J school in college the newsroom was full of manuals clattering away
    as typewriters should. :)
    I was often accused of using a tripe-writer. :)

I think that was the "original brand"...then Smith-Corona (SCM) had
one. This was obviously before the Cornonavirus...but some folks thought
it was 2 words, so they'd get a picture of the alcoholic beverage
    instead.

You should've seen the ones used on The Flintstones. <G>

You need to quit sleeping on the keyboard. <g,d,r>

Similar to a room full of ham radio operators running various digital
modes (i.e. Morse Code, JT65 (which sounds like a flute), among others).

    I was often accused of using a tripe-writer. :)

Are you still doing that?? <g,d,r>

I had a SCM portable I used for years and years.
Gave it away when ribbons became harder and harder to find.
By then I had my Commie, and ribbons for those dot matrix printers were
tough to find as well. I think Epson was the only one to make them and could only find one place in town that carried them.

Yeah, not only isn't the water safe to drink, now the beer isn't either.
