I take my laptop and such and settle in for the day, doing pretty much
what I would be doing at home, only getting paid for it. :)

Oddly enough, no.
Generally when I get a call in its between 6 and 6.30, so I'm not too involved in anything at home. The latest call I ever got was around 7 and had to be there at 8.

Thursday, nothing.

Since I live about 15 minutes away getting there with less than an hours notice is usually no problem. Of course I'm sometimes grumbling and

Usually this has to do with working in bad weather, hours, etc.
