Don't recognise ya. Welcome to Memories
Thanks. Been around for a few years, mostly lurk. Was in Fido back in the 90's and then rejoined about 7 years ago.
We are down to about 20-30 msgs a week (often less), rather than the 50-60 per day.
Glad to have you back.
Its a bit quieter here than you may remember.
A lot of people have disappeared.
And a lot more to remember now too <g>

I almost always need a list when I shop for things not on a regular basis. Over time I'll add to the list as the need arises.
Then I get to the store and realise I left the list at home. :)

One day I was in a supermarket and looking around trying to remember another item I needed to get that wasn't on my regular routine.
A clerk walked up and asked if she could help and I told her only if she could help me remember what I was forgetting.
She chuckled and said I was on my own on that. :)

Was She shaking her head from side to side as she walked away.
I see a Lot of people doing that after talking to me.
Long ago a message You wrote had a URL for a webpage about Old Prices.
Would You write it again in a message?

Thank you and howdy back. Started back in the mid/late 80's(87/88).
Did some moving about and finally got out about when you came in
(00-02).
Drifted away and finally wanted to see if I could put a board
back up. So far, the only things that changed, are the names. Some of them are the same too.

My MO is that I tend to be around for a few months then I disappear
for a while busy with work and other interests.
Started playing a mobile/ar game called ingress back in 2013
and that took most of my spare time as my wife and I both play.
Cycled around to getting chilly out so I'm back online again.

Yes, some of us never left... :) And a number of others came back
after a time of being away... I think a lot of people wrongly saw what they thought was the handwriting on the wall and decided to drop out before things all ended.... then discovered later that things didn't
stop after all... ;)

I'm not familiar with that...
So I guess we'll see you until it's better weather out there...? ;)

I am reminded of a Ziggy cartoon from years ago.
He's washing his car under a tree where two birds are watching. One says
to the other, "No, let's wait till he finishes waxing it".

I always like BBS'ing, but other things went to the forefront. Now I
have a little more time to devote to it, and am glad I did.

Completely understand. Been offline for a couple of days due to work. Didn't get home until 11ish last night and was so exhausted I never
even turned on my PC.
It's a sci-fi thing. Guys that make Pokemon Go and the Harry Potter augmented reality game, except Ingress has been around since late 2012. Company (Niantic) used to be part of Google, then under their Alphabet umbrella. They struck out on their own since then. The part I enjoy is being able to get out and be active and meet people (suprising to
myself since I am shy and suffer from anxiety at times).
I've also traveled around the country several times to different events and that's been fun. I like anyplace with a lot of history so that's
been an enjoyable part.
So I guess we'll see you until it's better weather out there...? ;)
Pretty much. I've been trying to log in and maintain stuff more often though so you never know.

Groan...
Welcome back... <G> And stick around... ;) Feel free to just jump
into conversations... it's not considered rude here... and keeps things going... :)
