From Vincent Coen@2:250/1 to All on Mon Dec 27 18:47:42 2021
    Hello MBSE programmers !

I have a node that polls but on or during receiving a file it all stops
during his poll and mbse when he polls again report stale AKA addresses.

This (I assume) is causing a problem with tossing files and mail that come
in at any time afterwards i.e., no attempt to run mbfido to ti etc.

Can mbse check if a connection does the equivalent of timing out or no flow after so many seconds and ends the poll drops the link / call within the mailer
. This is using the internet as a connection.

Yes, a subsequent call does the same having reporting stale akas but as I have a limit as to the number of connections at any one time due to slow upload speed (20Mb) it can end up blocking the entire system.

This is not a issue within the BBS for BBS users as far as I know (I don't get callers due to an issue with the password program (mbpasswd and possibly mbuseradd) failing to create or update the password of a new user or changing one as an existing user - it has been like that for a long time when used with Linux distro Mageia (v5, 6, 7 & 8 - the latest).

Out of curiosity, what is the mailer being used on the other side of
the connection? I've had this issue with Internet Rex before with connecting to MBSE systems.

    As shown in the log.

That's an old one. The list of fixes in binkd since that version is quite extensive...

    Bye, Wilfred.

This is a VERY old version of binkd. Perhaps it's time for your link to upgrade?
