• hpt wont send makenl netmail

From Rick Smith@1:105/81 to All on Sun Nov 20 09:10:22 2022
    Hello All!

I am in the process of moving 1:105/ to Deon George's fidohub docker instance... I have it mostly ready to go, but before putting it online I decided to test makenl. It runs as it should, however hpt for one reason or another will not pack the netmail and send it to Dallas? Here is the output of the hpt log. Mind you that system sends any other netmail without any issue. You can see it sent the one netmail but gives that error for the netmail containing node segment...?

You need a routeFile statement along with the route line in your route setup for nodes you will be sending files too. Something like thins..

    routeFile <flavour> <routeVia> <target> <target> ...

I use routeFile only in cases where it is needed. I put those lines directly below the route line for the node.

If you set the message to crash you may not need a routeFile statement if it is going directly to the destination.

    Ttyl :-),

... IBM: It may be slow, but at least it's expensive.

it is set to crash, I literally copied everything from the working setup to this one... no dice... I can try the routefile I guess and see what happens

    Hello Rick,

    Hello All!

    routeFile <flavour> <routeVia> <target> <target> ...

can you give an example? I am having hard time seeing what this would look like.. thank you!

    Regards,

    Rick

Hmm.. I was thinking setting it to crash would work without a routeFile statement but maybe not.

I'll have to experiment a bit and see what happens.

I don't have a routeFile statement in my config currently but I do have zips of old configurations around here somewhere, I'll take a look. What you need is going to be something like this..

    routeFile Crash 1:153/7715 1:153/7715

The above might work for you or it might need a tweak. Experiment! :)

    routeFile Crash 1:153/7715 1:153/7715

I did get that to work, but what is odd is I do not have that in the route file in the current working setup, curious as to why this new setup requires it? I copied the configs in their entirety to the new setup... hmm!

    Rick

Yes, I was thinking a crash netmail with a file attached would go without a routefile statement but I haven't worked with file attaches for a while now.

Might have to grok the routeFile keyword and see how it goes.
