i will try to change filebase path in comming day, just have to make sure husky can write to gofish, but still make gofish only have read access, i will soon be there :)

    make it on termux

maybe as simple as a small c program that reads pkt files, and save output as a man page, so it could be browsed as man 1 fidonet, with aktive linkin in each man page, or is this only in info man::info, but i have alway dreamed on smapi > sqlite storage server, and then let husky belive is jam/squish/opus storage, imho hotdoged is doing this with sqlite, but if the smapi existed husky would be pretty simple last step

According to google there is a couple versions of lua for termux.
I'll install it the next time I fire up the tablet.

    +1

    just in case

    Personally all my
fidonet scripts are bash including the two msgs I sent your way from
    the tablet.

okay, in bash i have a gopher server :)

I also managed to add the Old English taglines to the
tablet as well so I know my stuff does work without much modifications
    mostly paths.

yes it could still be nice with termux hooks for make export tarball of current home dir so it can be restored withing termux on another android device, this is why i dont use termux so much

x86_64-motorshed-linux-gnu is a regular linux system
rather than a cheap knockoff like aarch64-unknown-linux-android. ;-)

    its soda-pop for me :)

I believe this beats gopher. :-)

    Prove it.

i have got new perl version today, had to unmerge 300 ebuilds first, then perl-cleaner --all, and later emerge all the unmerged ebuilds again, this time it was just 220 new ebuilds to be merged, i really more need a ryzen 7 at home to precompile all the ebuilds, it takes time on linode.com servers sadly, but could be solved if i had more money to spend on it services

I have yet to see a msg coming from your gopher feed.

you will have to wait long for that since gopher is read only server

    That
means that as things stand today WeBeBashing is VASTLY superior as
    this reply will attest to.

cat 2 dog in bash is simple :)

You have a long ways to go just to catch
    up, nevermind beat.

i dont belive slackware would ever be better then gentoo, only see windows make money to the poor, while hold most money to the banks is imho not a great way to help the poor, and who knows what happen with Bill's devorce now

    make it on termux

Agreed. So far I've ported my bash scripts from x86_64-motorshed-linux-gnu to aarch64-unknown-linux-android so I am
happy that I appear to be knowing what I am doing. Also using binkd
on both to upload/download pkts to/from so that is covered without any harm to any other transfer protocol such as ftp. read/write access to those in the know ... just like mom used to do.

    keep up the spirit

    Hey Benny!

    Available versions: 8.2.0814-r100 **9999*l

    VIM - Vi IMproved 8.2 (2019 Dec 12, compiled Apr 17 2021 16:02:22)

I have a newer version on my main box. The one above is on the server (headless) that acts as the host for "Little Mikey's Brain". I am ssh'ed into it as we speak. Works like a charm. As for the aarch64-unknown-linux-android I am not sure what version it currently has but so far far it does EXACTLY what I want from an editor ... and then some. It is overkill for fidonet MSG-ing but I don't mind.

okay, in bash i have a gopher server :)

    It doesn't surprise me.

yes it could still be nice with termux hooks for make export
tarball of current home dir so it can be restored withing termux
    on another android device

That is an excellent idea. The way things stand today that could be best served via binkd as far as uploading the tarball to a suitable server such as "Little Mikey's Brain". I'll need to encorporate a proper file area on there soon for such activities.

    a cheap knockoff like aarch64-unknown-linux-android. ;-)

    I am in no rush.

    You too.
