    I am trying to download mail from Gmail using soupgate. However it
    doesnt understand ssl. is there a gateway app that I can use that will handle the ssl side of things

    I dropped a message into LINUX_BBS about Soupgate and Spoon.

    Soupgate does not need to support ssl; it is only a converter between
    soup and fido packets.
