    Kevin,

I'm ecstatic to hear you're working on it again!

I registered my copies when I was running under DOS and dial-up. I
really liked both InterMail and InterEcho.

    Yep...starting with DOS 3.2, then went to 5.0, 6.0, and 6.22, before
going to Windows 95. Then under DOS, I ran DESQVIEW, QEMM, InterMail,
and InterEcho, with GT Power under dial-up. I then went to Windows 98,
XP, 7, and 10. The ONLY reason I upgraded was for the "security issues".
A friend of mine refers to Windows 10 as "Satan's Little Sex Toy". <G>

I really liked the way I could select colors with InterMail and
InterEcho, as it made it look more appealing...at least to me. And,
it was interesting every time I ran QEMM to get more memory. Yet,
remember will Bill Gates said in 1980 that "640K of RAM ought to
    be enough for anybody"??

Unfortunately, Quarterdeck Software (which did QEMM and DESQView)
as well as TeleGraphix (which pioneered RIP Graphics) both went out
of business years ago. And, I saw where PhotoDex, the company that
originally did CompuPic, shut down recently as well. It seems that
all the "good companies and software" are shutting down, and the
    crappy ones are staying around.

A former area Sysop also thought that RIP didn't stand for
"Remote Image Protocol" (I think that's right)...he thought
RIP was what you did to a f@r+. <G>

    Greets Dale,
I've seen your messages over in the POINTS echo regarding
the development of WINPOINT. Didn't realize your connection
to Intermail. After 25 years, I finally have someone to
    complain to :)

    LOL

named Michele Stewart, 'The InterZone Cafe'. I'm here to
officially complain... where are my floppies :)

Well not responsible for others but hard to tell what really happend at that time with the previous owners but if you really want a floppy of 2.5, I have a blank 1.44 and will be happy to US Mail it to you *if* you really really want it. :)

So here I am, 25 years later, and I just started building a
replica of the old BBS and I'm finally getting to use IM
again. I'm sad to say that the damned keys I waited so long
to use aren't working but I think it is because I'm not
using the correct 'PIN' number. I'm really not sure what is
supposed to go in here. I put in my customer number...
yeah... not it! Is this something you can give me?

It would be a blast if you could netmail me the key, serial
and pin... I can add it to my collection of Intermail
invoices. I've saved all the original invoices and
    netmails.

While I still have the customer database and is really not needed. I give away keys to 2.5 for the asking. if you send me an email to dalebarnes42 at majik.net, will send you a key for 2.5. Close to releasing 2.6 of the DOS version and it will not have any keys in it at all. Free to use for those that can still use this flavor.

I'm ecstatic to hear you're working on it again!

Well found the source code a few years ago after thinking it was lost after many moves. While I am *slowly* working the code, it was clear trying to revamp the old code was going to be more work not to mention I kept trying to over engineer everything which does not help. Dont get a lot of time to code every week but I keep at it. >

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Welcome back.
