I've found that after creating a new message, if you edit it (outgoing folder) before polling, it is appended a weird "REPLY: null" kludge.

Can anyone contact the author and ask to release their code? That way we
    could correct the bugs together.

I have tried, but I had no luck

From what I've understood from Sergey's messages in RU.FTN.DEVELOP, he thinks that the source code is not ready for release to the public.

    Confirmed.

This can be fixed with a PKT filtering tool in the boss node that removes the faulty kludge.

I'm already using a simple script I made that adds the missing TZUTC kludge to packed messages from my HotdogEd point.

Of course. But it is sad we need to fix broken software this way. :(

I am also running pktdate to fix faulty dates from my bbs, which may not be ever fixed. :(
