    Hello All!

So I am still trying to sort out this hub I inherited that also runs golded. I have compared configs to my bbs golded and I am not seeing any obvious differences. Where I see differences is golded on this hub does not show new netmail in the new column, the netmail arrives fine but unless I go into netmail I would never know there was new mail? It does the same thing with personal mail, it arrives in the correct area of golded but never shows as new, it just is in there?

Any thoughts what I could check? I have never encountered this prior.

    Regards,

    Rick

My golded does accept ALT+S in the arealist and i can select scan all then.

For automatic scans golded does support semaphore files.

This bi-directional function is the interface to the tosser.

The workflow is tosser does have new incoming mail and adds the areas with new mail to the semaphore file. Sometimes the term "flagfile" is used for them. For hpt it's the keyword "EchoTossLog".

Golded can read this EchoTossLog at start and would check the areas within for new mail. There is a similar mechanism the other way. Golded can write a semaphore flagfile with areas of new mails written by the user. This could be used to trigger the tosser to do a scan for new mail. Check the doc files for semaphore.

You may need modified script or batchfiles for this if you see growing semaphore files.

    Kai
