Yes. You are right.

I'm trying to recall an old gate program which did a similar function between email and FIDO. I believe it was strictly for the Juno email program, and I could never get it to work correctly myself.

I seem to recall though, that the From: on messages coming into Fido never had the person actually sending the email in it. So this is obviously a step up from that.

That's exactly the problem if you reply from the telegram side to
a longer message.

Yeah, that's a thing with being able to trim messages between. Not sure about a way around it.

Stas should fix the gate software, so it quotes the hole Telegram message not just the first line.
