    Hi deon,

Something seems wrong indeed. I get a blank page, but that is because my add blockers filter out all the sh*t. ;-)
When I look at the source I indeed see a lot of javascript and some 'parking-lander' urls...

    Bye, Wilfred.

Something was changed today, 2023-01-24 08:03:25 UTC:

    % whois ftsc.org | grep 2023
    Updated Date: 2023-01-24T08:03:25Z

The A record was set to the address 34.160.209.102 (IPv4 only, duh), which belongs to some completely distrusted entity:

    NetRange: 34.128.0.0 - 34.191.255.255
    CIDR: 34.128.0.0/10
    NetName: GOOGL-2
    NetHandle: NET-34-128-0-0-1
    Parent: NET34 (NET-34-0-0-0-0)
    NetType: Direct Allocation
    Organization: Google LLC (GOOGL-2)

I don't know (and, honestly, don't care) who has access to edit the NS zone contents, but this change looks unwise.

    Anyway, I have a fresh backup :-)

    Hello, Alexey!

Tuesday January 24 2023 22:11, from Alexey Vissarionov -> Wilfred van Velzen:

I was going to refresh my memory from the standards, but it
seems that ftsc.org has not been renewed and now replaced by a
    common parked page?

Is this domain is also hijacked the way we had lost fidonet.net in the past?

12/8/22 latest backup is here https://web.archive.org/web/20221208163243/http://ftsc.org/docs/

    Nil,

Is this domain is also hijacked the way we had lost fidonet.net in the past?

Such a domain can only become lost if someone is not paying attention. Really, I don't understand how one can fail to notice the renewal messages.

If it's a matter of finances, then just say so.

"fidonet.org" will expire soon and it will be renewed in time ...

The fidonet.net was not hijacked - it was ughm... released to the wild.

No - latest backup is dated 2023-01-22 and stored on my server where the old ftsc.org site was residing.

Also, the site itself is still there and may return just if someone would make DNS records point back to my server without any additional interaction from me.

Just an FYI to whoever maintains that site:
http://fidonet.org doesn't give a web-site, only http://www.fidonet.org does. Requiring the 'www.' prefix is a bit out-dated these days.

Why? Adding the A and AAAA records to @ is trivial...
