Hi Paul,
You don't think there needs to be a deadline for submission of
votes? How else can an election be conducted?
Check the echo again. R57C's vote was sent at his post
"3:770/100 a31c39a2 dated Sun, 3 Mar 2019 21:28:23 +1300"
(unfortunately addressed to 'All'). I.e. in plenty of time to
arrive before the deadline. It was ignored by the Election
Coordinator.
Yes, OK, I see that now. The only response there is to that is
that the vote was not cast properly (the addressing).
So, R57C corrected himself with the later post with the proper
addressee which was deemed too late to be accepted. Where is the
justice in that?
This "re-vote" was indeed (not "deemed") cast too late as per the
published deadline. I agree that it's kind of a bad deal, but...
The good news is that the vote in question would not have changed
the outcome in any way.
Thanks for pointing out that the original vote (although not
meeting the requested criteria) was submitted on time. I had
missed that, and apologize if I came across a little harshly.
Didn't mean to do that, just didn't realize the full story here.
Cheers,
Paul.
Cheers!
