• A question to all the Nod

From Joe Martin@1:104/57 to Henri Derksen on Sat Jun 1 12:19:16 2019
I get the one byte vs two bytes (characters) for unicode,
just not the 8 bit vs 7 bit of a single byte (ie: high ascii).

    I'll show you, read on.

So from what I'm hearing is that there 'could be' an issue with the
various nodelist compilers and thus the concern. Has anyone determined
this to be the case and if so, which ones are affected?

I know the one in my ViaMAIL! doesn't have any issues (ahem... well at
least none that I know of).

Special signs in Acorn Archimedes/AxThousend/RiscPC in RISC OS 3.xx
    and higher,

    Thanks for the response!

    Regards,

    Joe Martin

    Hello Joe,

    I do not know.
But the normal ASCII FidoNet NodeList is only 7 bit to be safe.
And there are other version(s) too for who wants it.

I know the one in my ViaMAIL! doesn't have any issues (ahem... well at least none that I know of).

I think that's the case because the normal NodeList is only 7 bit.

    Thanks for the response!

I am glad I could explain.

    Henri.
