Hello, Bjrn!
Saturday February 24 2024 03:11, from Bjrn Wiberg -> Nil Alexandrov:
Where is the CHRS kludge?
Mystic BBS (its editor) doesn't provide any CHRS kludge yet.
Your default charset may vary from CP437 AKA ASCII, AKA AMIGA, CP850 AKA LATIN, AKA LATIN-1, all the way to the other side of the world to CP866 which is +7FIDO, +7_FIDO, +7 FIDO, CP866, CP866 2, CP-866, CP 866, IBM866, RUSSIAN, X-CP866, and yes, I have collected all aliases over the years.
I'm still hoping for this to be added in a future release.
Well, you can easily put utf-8 4 as CHRS, that is the thing, you do not speak other languages.
This is how fucked up this looks at my screen

It might be a good idea to use CP437 as a default in case a CHRS
kludge is missing
I have seen GoldED is doing it.
(albeit FTS-5003.001 says ASCII),
AKA CP437.
as that is what most software used back in the day.
Pretty much cover the North American region, except Quebec haha.
Best Regards, Nil
