Jimmy,
Yep - I know someone that, at the time, really thought that's what they JA>were saying at first - until she listened and thought about it. :-)
Then she laughed. :-)
I'm a big fan of pun humor. Every May, there is the World Championship
Pun Off, which benefits the O. Henry Museum, in Austin, Texas. There are
2 competitions:
1) Punniest Of Show. The contestant prepares a skit, ideally 60 seconds
long. A bell rings at 90 seconds, at which point, they start deducting
points. At 2 minutes, the disqualification bell rings. The skit can have
one big pun at the end, or be loaded with puns.
2) High Lies And Low Puns. You know the categories in advance, but don't
know the category you'll go head to head with against another punster,
until you're on the stage. You have 5 seconds to make a pun, and can't
use the same pun twice.
