What can I use to look at what I think is a corrupt pkt file? Received one on the 6th and I guess it completely stopped my system from processing anything coming in until I found it this afternoon.

Synchronet includes pktdump to look at the content of .pkt files. I believe there is a download at vert.synchro.net, just the exe.

The husky project also includes pktview. It can be found at..

    http://download.huskyproject.org

    Hello Richard,

The husky project also includes pktview. It can be found at..

    http://download.huskyproject.org

The husky project includes two such utilities. pktview is a bash script and pktinfo is an executible.

Thanks. I've got a sync install on another PC I use to pull in newsgroups.
    Will take a look.

I've asked Digitaman to add some extras to pktdump so you want want to
update your version (on linux you can just update src/sbbs3/pktdump.c then
make pktdump and copy it to your exe directory.

-recover will write out any good packets into a .good file leavig the
original in tact. -split, I think it was, will create a .good and a .bad
again, leaving the original in tact but also creatig a new file with any bad messages.
