• To Tell The Truth

From Lee Lofaso@2:203/2 to All on Mon Aug 24 14:08:02 2020
    Hello Everybody,

Pontius Pilate asked Jesus one question.
    What was Jesus' response?
    Silence. Total silence.
But we already know the answer.
As did Pilate, and his wife.

    “WHAT IS TRUTH?”

“Truth is the Voice of Nature and of Time—
Truth is the startling monitor within us—
Nought is without it, it comes from the stars,
The golden sun, and every breeze that blows....”
    —W. Thompson Bacon.

    “... Fair Truth’s immortal sun
Is sometimes hid in clouds; not that her light
Is in itself defective, but obscured
By my weak prejudice, imperfect faith
And all the thousand causes which obstruct
    The growth of goodness....”
    —Hannah More.

“What is Truth?” asked Pilate of one who, if the claims of the
Christian Church are even approximately correct, must have known it.
But He kept silent. And the truth which He did not divulge, remained unrevealed, for his later followers as much as for the Roman Governor.
The silence of Jesus, however, on this and other occasions, does not
prevent his present followers from acting as though they had received
the ultimate and absolute Truth itself; and from ignoring the fact that
only such Words of Wisdom had been given to them as contained a share
of the truth, itself concealed in parables and dark, though beautiful,
    sayings.
    -Lucifer

"The mystery of the kingdom of God has been granted to you. But to
those outside everything comes in parables ...", etc.
    -Jesus [Mk 4:11-12]

Mark chapter 3, verses 6-22 explains background.

Lucifer had the wrong chapter and verse in his rant. For those who
would like to read his treatise, it is in the public domain and can
be found on many sites for free -

Lucifer: A Theosophical Magazine. Volume 1.
    September 1887 - February 1888.

Yes, the author/publisher does refer to himself as Lucifer.
And only Lucifer. I am sure I can find more volumes ...

On the other hand, Donald Trump will be speaking on all four nights
of the Republican National Convention (Monday through Thursday). Trump
and only Trump. Music to our ears. Let the sound of Trump begin!

70 minutes of it the last day. The second longest acceptance speech in history, only his 2016 speech was longer.

But "I profoundly accept..."? Is he really a native speaker? Has anyone seen his birth certificate?

    Hello Bjrn,

70 minutes of it the last day. The second longest acceptance speech in history, only his 2016 speech was longer.

He was not president last time, his speech being 76 minutes.
So that makes his latest speech the longest RNC acceptance speech
by a president. But hey. Not to worry. On January 20, 2021 he will
be sure to make the longest speech by any president in history.
I mean, we are talking serious business here. Fidel Castro
    territory ...

But "I profoundly accept..."? Is he really a native speaker? Has anyone seen
    his birth certificate?

    Of course.

His girlfriend. A poor, communist, woman from Yugoslavia. Reads
German like a native. From the Whore House to the White House.
What a gal. Quite a find by Epstein. Gave her to Trump as a gift.

    I missed it.

    I really do apologize.

I know you also missed it.

This was big time missed it.

Right after Trump finished his long-winded 70-minute rant, came
the moment we all should have been waiting for -

The RNC concluded with Opera singer Christopher Macchio singing
`Ave Maria' from the Blue Room on the White House balcony, as everybody
on the lawn below watched in amazement. Then the crowd was led into
singing `God Bless America' and `America the Beautiful'.

You might be asking yourself - "So what?"

    Well, here's the deal -

The closing ceremony of the RNC was the singing of the Roman Catholic
anthem and incantation to the `blessed virgin' known as Ave Maria.

In the bible, the phrase "Hail Mary" does not appear. And neither
does "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the
    hour of our death. Amen."

Again, you might ask yourself - "So what?"

Well, think about what this means.

This is Donald Trump's "Hail Mary".

Remmber, Donald Trump is a self-declared `stable genius'.

So, he knows what he is doing.

Why on earth did the RNC end with an incantation to the `blessed
virgin' asking for her intercession and help? Would you not call that
pagan idol worship? If they're not careful, she's gonna show up.
No telling what might happen then.

But "I profoundly accept..."? Is he really a native speaker? Has anyone seen
    his birth certificate?

I'll have to ask the virgin.

Would you not call that pagan idol worship?

Really? What does it take for some 60+ million ignorant, stupid USAians to re'elect the most stupid person ever as POTUS?

Scary. This is the guy who actually has the finger on the trigger.

Ah, well, what do we care? This is what we expect our children to take care of -- no?

Just stand up and be counted. That is all there is too it.
No mail-in ballot needed. Or any ballot at all.

Scary. This is the guy who actually has the finger on the trigger.

And to think, he can do it all on his own. And nobody can stop him.

Not even his pal, Vladimir Putin, has that much power.

But hey. Trump has the orange finger. Nobody else.
Except maybe Rocket Man. You know, the fat kid in Korea.
No. Wait. Rocket Man's finger is yellow.

Ah, well, what do we care? This is what we expect our children to take care

Children? What children? We will all be glowing in the dark.
