They seem to be way off, all of the numbers.

Sweden has a rather high death rate ATM (148.4 dead per 1 million people) compared to e.g. USA (118.2 / 1 million).

A Swede (who apparently is not Stockholm) decided to question
the numbers I had posted the other day. And that's okay. I can
understand, as numbers keep changing so fast with this novel
coronavirus. But how accurate are those numbers, regardless of
    where they came from?

Should one believe the numbers from the European CDC are more
accurate than the numbers from Johns Hopkins CSSE? What about
the numbers from Worldometer, or any other site?

Sweden has been claiming to have lower mortality rates for
COVID-19 than other countries due to its policy of allowing
adults to act like adults. But the numbers are no longer
reflecting that fantasy, as more and more Swedes are being
    felled by the virus.

Let's take an updated look at "the numbers" -

    Source: Forbes

The Swedish Public Health Agency has collaborated on a new study that
estimates one-third of all Stockholm residents will have been infected
with COVID-19 by May 1. That amounts to approximately 600,000 people in Sweden’s capital city. Sweden’s official figures report only 15,322 positive cases so far in the whole of the country, suggesting
    significant numbers of “invisible” infections.

The astonishing numbers are in stark contrast to the latest World
Health Organization (WHO) estimates that “no more than two to three percent” of the world’s population have been infected.

Sweden’s acting state epidemiologist Anders Wallenstein confirmed the findings during the latest daily press conference about the virus
outbreak. It was also revealed that a further 185 coronavirus-related
deaths have occurred in Sweden in the last 24 hours, bringing the total
    to 1,765.

The study indicates that for every confirmed case of COVID-19, a
further 999 people are likely to have been infected with the virus
without knowing it. The study used a model that includes the number
of positive COVID-19 cases in Stockholm from February 17 to April 10,
along with samples taken from infected people in the period March 27
    to April 3.

The major reason for the high Swedish death numbers seems to be that we honestly report the death toll in our nursing homes (more than 60% of our dead and counting). Not all countries do that -- including the kingdom of Joe "the perfect leader" Orange.

It is even worse in our prisons, where almost all the inmates
are infected. Like nursing homes, no visitors allowed, and no
means of getting them out. Even after they are dead, they are
laid to rest without a proper funeral. Such things are just
not allowed with this novel coronavirus ...

A national leader, such as the POTUS, is supposed to inspire
people. Give them hope for a better future. But that is not
what is happening today. Not with this president.

Unfortunately for the USA and the world, the POTUS has no national
plan, or any plan at all, in regards to COVID-19. That is not a
political statement, but simply an observation that most folks are
    in agreement on.

I know how to lie with statistics. I was actually trained in
how to do that. So was Bjrn. But that is not the issue. The
POTUS is an incompetent fool, and hasn't got a clue as to what
is going on or how to solve the problem. He is simply winging
it as time goes on, hoping people believe whatever he says as
    being expert advice.

We are doing "a great job" with testing. But no amount of testing
is going to kill the virus. Which is why the president has come up
with a solution that does exactly that.

Just inject people with disinfectant. That'll work. Kills the
coronavirus on contact. See how simple that is? Takes a stable
genius, like Joe Orange, to figure that out.

And don't forget to get some Sun. And enjoy the heat. This combo
will knock out whatever coronavirus that remains after getting yourself injected with disinfectant. Assuming the disinfectant doesn't kill
    you first.

That is the advice our dear president told us today at his daily
campaign event held at the White House.

Of course he was. It was a follow-up on Lee's Trump-quote about billions of USAians dying.

It was a direct quote of Donald Trump at one of his daily Covid-19 campaign rallies funded by the taxpayers. The ones that are sick and dying, and the healthy ones.

    It's in Swedish,

I just noticed that high up on the page you can chose "English version".

Some graphics are not translated, but I think enough is made to make it all understandable.

I can particularly recommend half way down the (rather big) page -- "Trend by country" -- where you get a list of all countries in the world sorted in eight different ways.

Sorry Ward, but "Deaths by pop" doesn't look too good on Belgium. But neither does Sweden... :(

It all depends on how and what you count.

Pretty certain that a lot of countries are notorious liars these days, hiding the truth if the news is bad is quite common.

Oh yes! That's obvious when you look at the numbers...
