In my case, my dad had been admitted to the local VA hospital for a minor procedure and came home with a very active case of COVID-19 but no one bothered to test him when he was discharged. He came home and three days later, my mother and I had COVID-19 also.

Thankfully, my mother's and my case of COVID was fairly mild only lasting about 3-4 days of symptoms though my dad struggled with no energy for a few weeks. All of us kept our taste of sense and smell. I had headaches for a few months thereafter and now if I stress myself too hard, I get one of those headaches again.

My daughter's long-time babysitter/friend we just found out was in the hospital in January with severe Covid... nice old Asian lady, religious, total germaphobe, the type that would dress up in biohazard gear if told to do so.

We are both convinced we had it in March 2020 and in December last year... the type and length of sickness was a bit more harsh than just a common cold.

It is true. When a person from France is trying to communicate with a Canadian the language barrier is quite large because the french spoken in Canada is different than french spoken in France.

I know quite a few Canadians in the western provinces that know nothing
more about French than I do.

Although I took french in school (it was a regular class in those days) I can't speak or understand it now because french is not used much in the west. It has been lost on me at least.
