Wondering, is there a way to say, use the DOS (or OS/2) version of
Frodo, and have it load up your linux BBS?

Yup, it's called SEXPOTS. I used it to allow dial-up access to Mystic.

I read some time ago Robert Wolfe compiled this program to an OS/2 version. Anyway... it "Should" work... it does work as a stand alone
I'm going to have to pull at his coat tails and see. As far as I know there's only one mailer for linux (BinkD). I've downloaded and kinda
set up SOME things for IFMAIL, but it's really REALLY 'rough'.

I'm not fully sure what your goal is.... R U running Synchronet?? Synchronet has a Java app that polls to get mail called binkit.
