Hello All!
I have moved all processing back to the main system.
Why?
1. Save a bit of electricity
2. It was using the Pi on the basis that some one would take the service on
But as no one has come forwards it will be on the main system so if I get
ill or die, the service will die with me.
I will make available all the sources, manual and other docs for Elist etc along with a copy of the system environment for mbse and elist which is around 70 Mb (archive) for any one to get via my site at applewoodbbs/linkpc.net/files/Elist/nightly-builds/
Where the important stuff is files :
elist-nightly.rar - Contains the Elist software as sources
mbse-pi-arc.tar.gz - Contain the mbse system including the Elist software,
compiler etc.
The nightly archive is updated every night IF a change has occurred to the Elist programs and this does not often happen.
The Elist software does depend on using the bbs system mbse under Linux or other *nix platform. There is no reason why you cannot have two different bbs systems running on the same computer - see the Elist manual for details of set up as only needs a change to your router for Port Forwarding where your normal system will be using port 24554 and the mbse system and Elist using 24555.
If any one would be prepared to run the Elist system as a back up I will arrange for the elist data file to be sent out as a archive when ever a change has occurred (caused by a submission file being received and processed).
This facility can be available to more than one system as it will provide extra
resilience.
Vincent
