  • ECHOS for DELETION unless there are volunteers 4 Mods

    Hello All!

    With Janis Kracht leaving Fidonet at least since the last nodelist and with all
    of her moderatorship echos needing to be updated we need interested persons to take them over as moderator and/or comod.

    A very noticeable one is FIDO_SYSOP which was overdue for a mod election any way.

    As ELIST maintainer I would prefer NOT to have to take these on if I can avoid it as it screams echo take overs.

    "We" don't "need" any of that. Those areas will happily keep on existing as dead or alive as they always were, without moderator or elisting...

    O, great, will we be having 2 elections at the same time? With the FTSC elections already underway. Such joy! ;-)

    Why would the ELIST maintainer in particular have to take over any areas? The elist doesn't have an official status in fidonet, so anyone elisting an area doesn't mean he automatically is the owner/moderator of an area. If an area really needs a moderator that should come from the consensus of the participants.
