Right foot. I can still drive though. With the foot reconstruction surgery, my podiatrist will lengthen my Achille's (sp?) tendon to allow
me to drive easier. Right now, I have a brace on my right calf that is attetched to the hack of my right shoe to offset weight on the foot.
I know some double amputees whose vehicles are rigged up so they can aim
it down the road. My Senator (Tammy Duckworth) is one of them. And my
friend's son has a van with an elevator contraption to enter and exit.
His mobility scooter locks in place in front of the steering wheel and
he uses hand controls for the accelerator and brake.

In a 6 quart stockpot, cook bacon over medium heat,
stirring occasionally, until crisp, 6-8 minutes. Remove
with a slotted spoon; drain on paper towels. Reserve
drippings for other uses.
In the same pot, cook ground beef and onion over medium
heat until meat is no longer pink, 6-8 minutes; crumble
meat; drain. Add the next 10 ingredients; bring to a
boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, until pasta is al
dente, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
Stir in 1 cup cheese, pickle and bacon; cook and stir
until cheese is melted. Serve with remaining cheese and,
if desired, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and red onions.
UDD NOTE: You can put this into a 13" X 9" casserole and
put more cheese over the top. Pop into a 350.F/175.C
oven just until the cheese is melted. Warm leftovers (if
any) in your oven.
