I'll take a stab at it.. How y'all feel about the pending
corona vaccine? Myself, I'd rather wait and see who lives
    through version 1.0.

I got a flu shot this last week, and had to get a tetanus
shot at the same time. I went to pick up a crushed beer
can in my driveway, and ended up slicing open my "bird
finger" <G> on my right hand. :P I bled like a stuck pig,
then irrigated the wound quite a bit...but discovered
that the Neosporin I had was expired. So, I had to go to
the pharmacy to get some Band-Aids with the Neosporin as
    well.

Ha! Not impressed with your pinky finger wound. I had about an
8" wound in the arm from a piece of barb wire fence that swung
back at me when it was cut. Instant reflex placed my arm in
front of my face, but the arm lost about an 1/8" deep and
about as much wide valley of flesh down to some white meat.

After it happend, I thought it was fascinating how the blood
was slowly filling up the gap.

Today, the scar is about half its original length. I didn't
bother with a doctor. Mom just irrigated the wound and
bandaged it up as best we could to squeeze the opening shut.

Afterwards, I would proudly display my "fencing (sabre)
wound". <G> I had always imagined trying the sport of
fencing, but after my incident, I didn't have to - I already
had a fascinating scar to display courtesy of my own version
    of fencing!

"You call THAT a scar? I'll show you my fencing wound."

.. As for the COVID-19 shot, considering it's likely
going to use DNA from aborted fetal tissue, I likely will
    not take it.

From aborted tissue? I had not heard that.

BTW.. A MESSAGE TO ALL: this echo is now available to
anyone with a smartphone via the easy installation of
Telegram. Just send a message to @aabolins or
@cepiersonjr and either of us can let you in.

I used to use Telegram on a Ham Radio Traffic Net, but
since I'm no longer part of that net, I don't use the
utility anymore. With other things in life outside the
BBS, I likely will just participate via the echo on my
    BBS.

The BBS method and/or offline method allows better engagement
with replies. But the presence of the echos on the smartphone
allows you to take a piece of fidonet along wherever you go.

Maybe younger people who's phones are extensions of themselves
would like to give it a try.

As luck would have it, last week, I got 4 shots...tetanus
shot in the left shoulder...flu in the right
shoulder...low-T in the left butt cheek...and B12 in the
    right butt cheek.

    That's a lot to bear.

    I am short for words.
