    Hello All.

In the sample for the NODES.CFG the line reads:

    #node 5047/999 hostname;* passwword c

    What does the * signify?

One or more non-white-space character (i.e. another hostname). If the you're only associating a single hostname with the node, then there's no semicolon and nothing where the asterisk is.

Is there or is there not a space before the password?

One or more spaces before the password (or '-' when no password is used), yes.

The last character, the flavour, if it is a c, does that mean that binkd will crash whatever is in the outbound directory for that node, regardless of the flavour of the .flo file? All mine are .hlo and the actual flavor is set (presently) in my IRex configuration. I am thinking correctly here?

When I used binkd, I did not specify a flavor. I think it might only be used when a mailbox (outbox) is used, which would have no implicit mode/flavor.

What do I do with the 2 Points I have that do not have an internet address since they don't run a BBS type server? My NODES.CFG line for them looks like this:

    node 1:396/45.27 0.0.0.0; xxxxxxx h
    node 1:396/45.28 0.0.0.0; xxxxxxx h

You can put a '-' for the 'host' field if it's not applicable. This is the help line in (an old) binkd.cfg file:

    #node [[z:]n/]n[.p][@domain] [-nr|-nd] [{hosts|-} [{pwd|-} [flavour [{obox|-} [{ibox|-}]]]]]

That "|-" indicates that a '-' can be used instead of a host (or list of hosts). The semicolon is only used for separating multiple hosts.

The only thing I could think of to put for an address was the 0.0.0.0. Is this correct?

    No.

All this info was gleaned from that single line in the binkd.cfg file, so I'd definitely refer to the binkd docs for detailed and possibly more accurate descriptions.
