Anyone know who/where to contact to get a key for XLAXNODE/XLAXDIFF?
XLAXDIFF isn't the issue, but XLAXNODE generates a random number to type i
    each time it is run.

Okay I found a message from 2007 saying the author died some years ago. So, is there a crack/keymaker anywhere floating around?

You may want to try TBBSNC

Scott did an uncrippled version for TBBS called TBBSNC (and
TBBSDIFF for updating the nodelist with the latest diff). Since
Scott is no longer around and eSoft no longer has any interest
in TBBS I think Richard could easily get hold of a copy from,
say, www.tbbs.org (I think it is). If not I have a copy which I
    still use.

    I didn't realize Richard was running TBBS -- I didn't pay enough
attention to the message <blush>. I have a custom built xlax* which
Scott did for me some years ago, and truthfully I no longer remember
what was special about it! :-)

I don't know if Richard is running TBBS or not. It doesn't matter because TBBSNC works just like XLAXNODE - it *is* XALXNODE to all intents and purposes, but with additions to work with TBBS (which one doesn't have to use if one is not running TBBS). However the major advantage is that it needs no registration. It was issued free to TBBS users and, presumably, eSoft paid a royalty to Scott. But since eSoft has washed its hands entirely of TBBS all the TBBS software is appearing for download free of charge from several servers.

    Best wishes, David

Sigh. Finding it seems to be a bit harder. :(

Usually old BBS stuff is archived but you're right. Seems hard to find.

One day I'll learn to do write keygens lol.
