• OLX v4.5?

From Mauro Veiga@4:801/194 to ALL on Sun Jan 31 10:36:00 2021
Hello. Visiting the page of Santronics I see that they offer the
OLX mail reader v4.5 for testing but the form to fill in gives error
    at the end.

I never saw this OLX 4.5 to download anywhere. The newest version I
find is 2.2. Does anyone know where to find newer versions of OLX
    other than Santronics?

    Nope, something called "otvdm".

    From: http://www.columbia.edu/~em36/otvdm.html

"A programmer who calls himself or herself otya128 has adapted the Wine ("Wine Is Not an Emulator") software into a system called winevdm (also otvdm) so that old Windows programs (including installation programs) can run in 64-bit Windows as if they were ordinary modern Windows programs. With this system installed, you can simply double-click on these old Windows programs and launch them in the same way that you launch modern Windows programs. Under this system, these old programs can open files in the same way that modern Windows applications do, and many (but not all) applications that were designed to send data to a printer can print to any Windows printer."

I use the "Inno Setup" version that is mentioned on that page.

I was originally going to say "yes"...but 2 nice things with MultiMail
are that I can import links via Notepad, and it allows for longer QWK

I use a special VM that allows me to run Win 3.x programs natively in 64-bit Windows 10. It's called "otvdm".

    http://www.columbia.edu/~em36/otvdm.html

"A programmer who calls himself or herself otya128 has adapted the Wine ("Wine Is Not an Emulator") software into a system called winevdm (also otvdm) so that old Windows programs (including installation programs) can run in 64-bit Windows as if they were ordinary modern Windows programs. I've run several Win16 programs nicely with otvdm.

ArcaOS not only has Win 3.1 built-in but has a lot of Linux commands built into it also ... something Windows still doesn't have and WSL doesn't count.
