Russia has lost its permanent seat on ICAO's board of directors, according to the vote at the triennial meeting of the United Nations Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal. It is the first time in ICAO's 86-year existence that a country has been voted out.
The reasons are its invasion of Ukraine and the war there as well as the "theft of aircraft"
