• Not Acquitted

From Lee Lofaso@2:221/360 to All on Sat Feb 8 22:40:32 2020
    Hello Everybody,

The Senate conducted its trial, and the verdict is in.
Although the impartial jurors decided not to convict and
remove the president from office, it also failed to give
him what he so dearly wanted. By choosing not to allow
documents and/or witnesses, the impartial jururs left it
all up to the people to decide rather than themselves.

That means NO ACQUITTAL for the president. He remains
impeached forever, with the people deciding the case this
    coming November.

I am not the first who has said this. Maybe the first
in FidoNet, but not the first who has said this privately,
    or publicly.

"He will be held accountable. He has been held accountable.
He has been impeached. He can never erase that." ~Nancy Pelosi

Impeached forever means just that. Historians will look
back on Donald J. Trump as being one of at least three presidents
who have been impeached. And that means impeached forever.

Of course, we all know President Andrew Johnson was acquitted.
And we also know President Bill Clinton was also acquitted.
So how can it be that President Donald J. Trump was not acquitted?

Well, that is easy to answer. Documents and witnesses were
allowed for Johnson's trial. Likewise for Clinton's trial.
Those Senators knew what they were doing, and acquitted them
both after allowing for documents and witnesses.

But please. Do not take my word for it. Please allow US Senator
Mazie Hirono (D-HI) explain it all to you. After all, she was there,
and served as one of those 100 impartial jurors -

"He wasn't acquitted. It was a rigged trial. You don't get
acquitted when you don't even get to call witnesses or relevant
witnesses or have the documents because the president stonewalled
all efforts on the part of the House to get the information they
requested. So, there you go. It was a rigged trial. He can
run around saying he was acquitted, but you don't get acquitted
    in a rigged trial." ~Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI), 2/6/2020

No exoneration. No acquittal. Guilty as sin.

Mitt Romney, the last Republican standing, said it all.

When I'm 80, and I apply for a job as a newspaper delivery driver, are they gonna say "You're a lousy drunk - forever!?"

Most Trump fans are devoted to him - we need him to do something that we consider to be "really bad" for us to want him removed.

If Obama did what Trump did, I wouldn't want Obama impeached for it either.

This would be appealing to be uptight law professors, but try explaining that to conservative voting-card holders who only care about the good things that are in front of their faces, like the economy, a president who's actively getting other states off America's nipple, and a wall that's being built to protect poor people from dangerous illegal immigrants.

was nothing to acquit him of. Therefore, the trial was rigged.
    Ergo, no acquittal.

The same can be said of Richard Nixon. What was he acquitted of?
Of course, Nixon had already made a deal with Ford, negating any need
to even have a sham trial such as what we had with Trump.

That means that Trump is still your president today.

Unlike Richard Nixon, who won the presidential election fair

    Hi Ron,

And none of the Dem candidates are Liberals. Which is why classical Liberals have been moving to the Republican party.

I've been reading all this from a distance and am pained a bit by seeing how divided the USA is. I know of friendships that ended, marriages that folded, father and son parting ways over discussions related to Trump.

    Is that all worth it?

The thing is, from an outside POV, and I've said this before ... there are no liberals in USA politics, only conservatives and parties to the right.

The Democrats are, from our point of view, conservative as the Republicans are with the latter being even more to the right. There is no-one to the left. the political atmosphere in the USA will not tollerate a party which is true liberal. Heck. even our socialists are more liberal than the most liberal of what you would call liberal overthere.

If JFK were around today, he'd be a Republican because his positions
would have nothing to do with the Dems of today.

    Interesting point.

I'd say Trump is a Republican because it suited his chances of getting elected better than if he would join the Democrats where he probably wouldn't have made the ticket ... plus he had an axe to grind with Obama.

With what I know of US politics is that "4 more years" is a reality as in the current state of affairs I don't see what the Democrats are going to come-up with. Sanders is going to succomb to a heart-attack soon enough, Mayor Pete is unelectable on national level, Biden's campaign is going to die a silent death and the rest ... ?

Is there nothing more uplifting to talk about ?

    Republican standing.

What's he gonna do? Have his "base" repeat chants of "Lock her up!"?

No. He'll collect the evidence, then press charges and, hopefully, put her
    in jail where she belongs.

Like the unfounded allegations concerning the Bidens? My, my.
That is going to be a long wait. How long as Donald Trump been
collecting evidence on Hillary Clinton? Since 2016 and still
hasn't found a thing? Gosh. I am sure Nancy Pelosi is scared
silly of his empty threat to "Lock her up!"

That's unlike the Left who simply accuse with no evidence and then say "we
won because he will be accused forever".

No evidence has been found of the Bidens "corruption" in Ukraine.
It is all bogus. Totally made up nonsense.

More likely this coming January the world will be waking up
to America's first LBGTQ+P president ... with the Rainbow House
    playing in the background.

*LAUGH* No Democratic candicates are electable. That's why the Dems are

    Hello Ron,

US Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) was there. I quoted her words.
And I am sure she meant every word she said. "He wasn't acquitted.
It was a rigged trial. You don't get acquitted when you don't even
get to call witnesses or have the documents because the president >LL>stonewalled all efforts on the part of the House to get the
information they requested. So, there you go. It was a rigged

    *LAUGH*

    She said it. Not me.

I saw that and I swear I pictured Jimmy Durnate saying "What elephant?"
(If you don't know the reference, look it up on You Tube.)

Hirono is just another example of how delusional the Dems are.

    Hello Ron,

    The president is no conservative,

And none of the Dem candidates are Liberals.

Bernie Sanders is not a Democrat, but a self-declared
"democratic socialist" - whatever that means.

Which is why classical Liberals have been moving to the Republican party.

The term "classical Liberals" would mean libertarian.
Not really sure who the Libertarian Party intends to nominate.
But I doubt any of today's Democrats will get the nod.

If JFK were around today, he'd be a Republican because his positions would
have nothing to do with the Dems of today.

Dwight Eisenhower invited Nikita Kruschev to visit Kansas.
Would JFK had invited the Soviet leader to visit Massachusetts?
Maybe Donald Trump will invite Vladimir Putin to visit Florida.
Bernie Sanders would love to have him over for lunch in Vermont.
And Mayor Pete would love to share some roasted weiners with him.
Amy Klobuchar would probably get everybody into snowball fight.
And Elizabeth Warren, well, she's got a plan for everything ...

However, they were "successful" at getting at least 2 men fired,

    Hello Greg,

To me it seems that Trump was successfully impeached ...

    Are you sure?

    Yes.

Perhaps you don't understand what "impeachment" stands for...

Maybe the DEMS and the people who were and who are currently claiming to
understand impeachment, do not understand why, constitutionally it failed.

    18 December 2019.
After a two-month inquiry, the House of Representatives voted
in favor of two articles of impeachment.

Donald J. Trump was impeached. Forever.

    Some Democrats applauded.

Speaker Pelosi calmed them down, reminding all it is "tragic" the
president's reckless actions made impeachment necessary.

The Articles were not even a crime nor were any laws broken.

We all know what the president did was criminal.

House managers proved their case in the trial held by the Senate.

One Republican actually told the truth, voting his conscience.

Imagine that. Every Democrat, and lone Republican, in the Senate
voting to convict the president of his crimes.

It is also because of the U.S. Constitution that the President was DUTY
    bound
to make the inquiry into corruption that is Quid Pro Quo Joe, who said fire >the prosecutor who is investing my zero experience in natural gas and oil
    son
Hunter, or else you don't get the billion. (was which from the American-Tax >Payer.) - which is why, it is deemed as corruption in the first place.

What is Hunter Biden doing these days? I hear he is still a lawyer.
And continues to represent clients who hire him. So what gives?

Last I heard, lawyering is an honorable profession. After all,
lawyers swim with sharks and never get eaten alive. Let's see you
try that on for size. But hey. Gotta give Hunter credit. He
learned his lessons well. From the very best. Namely, his father.

Unfounded allegations are just that. A bunch of nonsense spouted
by a crazy old man. And to think this crazy old man is on public
display almost every day, live on camera, and also often on twitter.
We could die of an overdose of insanity abuse and he would still
be ranting as if nothing had happened.

Donald J. Trump has refused to reveal his tax returns since forever.
Let's see both Bidens reveal their tax returns alongside Trump's tax
returns and see what they all have. That would be fair. Then we
will all know who is corrupt and who is not. Maybe all of them are
corrupt. Maybe none of them are. Or maybe just the crazy old man
who continues to tweet how wonderful a president he is.

Reps because those Reps said during their campaigns "I'm going to monitor Republicans like a hawk until I catch them on ANY technicality, and that's about all I'll be doing!"

In other words, they're not keeping any campaign promises by being the Trump police. Instead, they're looking out for their own best interests by saying to their fans "I'm anti-Trump. Vote for me if you're anti-Trump too!"

Do you understand what I'm saying? You should stop being manipulated by these fools. The Republicans aren't trying to hurt you. They aren't threatening

    "Illegitimate" president has no meaning.

It makes Donald J. Trump a real bastard. And a true son of a bitch.

The words "legitimate" and "illegitimate" do not appear in the Constitution.
So this is just more Leftie weasel words.

Then who or what is a "legitimate" president? Hopefully one elected
by "we the people" rather than one selected by Russia (or Vladimir
    Putin).

Yes, we use an electoral college process in order to determine
who our president is, or should be. But when that process has been
hacked by a foreign power in order to install someone of their choice,
that makes the individual selected an "illegitimate" president.

Mitt Romney is one of those "Leftie crazies"? Last I heard
he was a Republican in good standing. Even if he is the last >LL>Republican standing.

He's a RINO. But we'll see what his constitutents think of his actions when

Don't make me laugh. Romney is from Utah. When is the last time
a Democrat won a statewide race for whatever office in Utah?

Like the unfounded allegations concerning the Bidens? My, my.

So.... You are saying that Hunter Biden didn't go to work for Burisma while
    Dad Joe was VP?

Hunter Biden is a lawyer, the same as his father. He practices
law for a living, the same as most other lawyers. I never knew that
was a crime, or why being a lawyer might even be considered as being
a crime. I'll bet he paid his taxes for the work he did, and is
not afraid to show it. What about your orange flake? You think he
will ever reveal his tax returns? All the Democratic candidates
for president have. Including the former vice president.

We all know the answer to that one. The president has something
to hide. And he will fight tooth and nail to keep anybody from
finding it. And that is not an unfounded allegation.

That is going to be a long wait.

Based on how paniced the Dems are right now, not that long a wait.

Like I said, Hunter Biden is a lawyer. He was hired to do a job.
And I presume he did it well, as the company that hired him had no
complaints. In fact, he is now working for another company, with
great pay, and nobody seems to be complaining. So the big deal?

How long as Donald Trump been collecting evidence on Hillary LL>Clinton?
Since 2016 and still hasn't found a thing?

So... You are denying that Hilary deleted emails and such?

I have no idea. What emails might those be? Nobody seems to have
found them, wherever they are. Not that it matters. The FBI director
looked into it, and he forgave her. So everything's fine.

Are you telling me that Comey commited perjury while testifying before
congress? Because he said that she did all those things.

Like I said, he looked into it. She told him the truth. He
believed her. After all, she was an honest politician, and would
never lie. Not to him, anyway.

She just didn't do them "on purpose" so there was no "criminal intent".

So she wasn't or isn't the smartest cookie in the world ...

But they were still done. So we haven't "found a thing"?

The Russians did it. Or maybe the Russians made her do it?
Either way, those emails are long gone ...

No evidence has been found of the Bidens "corruption" in Ukraine.
It is all bogus. Totally made up nonsense.

Then why are the Dems hiding Hunter?

Nobody is hiding Hunter. He is still a lawyer. And continues
making good money as a lawyer. I am sure Joe is very proud of him.

Why are they trying to block the investigation into Hunter's Ukraine
    dealings?

What investigations? Ukraine is not investigating him. Said he
broke no Ukrainian laws. Republicans control the US Senate, yet
refuse to subpoenae either of the Bidens to testify. Why is that?
Seems all Republicans are interested in is to make talking points,
rather than conduct real investigations or hold real hearings.

If it's totally made up, why are they trying to hide everything?

Donald Trump and his enablers (former Republicans) are making
unfounded allegations about the Bidens. Even though they hold
all the levers of power, they refuse to use that power. Why
is that? Perhaps because they have no case. None at all.

According to the latest polls, all of the contenders for the
Democratic nomination are ahead in a head-to-head match-up against >LL>Trump.

You need to stop watching Leftie polls. Your echo chamber will only tell

Yes, Comey "forgave" her. But he didn't have the ability to do that. He only said that he found no "criminal intent", which was a joke since the whole thing stank to high Heaven of criminal intent.

In Comey's defence, he most likely didn't want to die mysteriously (since that happens very frequently to people who testify against the Clintons). So he was probably acting out of self-preservation.

heck was your dear boy "acquitted" of?

Or do you also want to change the meaning of words to match your narrative?

making the impeachment of Donald J. Trump very successful.

driving more and more people away and making people support Trump even more.

Oh, I have no doubt the House of Representatives can impeach him
again. And again. And again. For as long as necessary. But hey.
Not to worry. With only 259 days left until the election, I doubt
it will be necessary for the House to take any further action.

So, please, try to impeach him again.

    That's too easy.

It's good for everyone other than the Dems.

Much more fun to watch The Orange One lose to a communist.
Or better yet, to an openly gay candidate. Just think of what
that would mean. Rather than have a White House, we would all
    have a Rainbow House ...

It makes Donald J. Trump a real bastard. And a true son of a bitch.

That may be, but he's your president today and will probably be your
    president for another 4 years.

Vladimir Putin's pet project will no longer be in office come
January 20, 2021. So please, do not get your hopes up.

Then who or what is a "legitimate" president? Hopefully one elected
by "we the people" rather than one selected by Russia (or Vladimir >LL>Putin).

    That's for you to define.

Jimmy Carter already did it for me.

You are the one using terms like "illigitimate".

    Jimmy Carter said it first.

Yes, we use an electoral college process in order to determine
who our president is, or should be. But when that process has been >LL>hacked by a foreign power in order to install someone of their choice, >LL>that makes the individual selected an "illegitimate" president.

The Left's "Russia!" narrative has been long debunked.

Not according to The Mueller Report, and 17 intelligence agencies.

Only the Lefties still hold on to it as an excuse as to why a criminal
    (Hilary) didn't garner wide support.

She ran a poor campaign. Especially the last two weeks.
But there were other factors, such as Russian interference,
and FBI Director Comey's last-minute false claim.

Don't make me laugh. Romney is from Utah. When is the last time
a Democrat won a statewide race for whatever office in Utah?

Didn't say a Dem was going to win. Just not Romney.

There are only two ways Romney does not win another term
as US Senator from Utah. He decides not to run for re-election,
or he dies in office. In which case, he takes over as god of
his own planet, in due accordance to his religion.

Hunter Biden is a lawyer, the same as his father. He practices
law for a living, the same as most other lawyers. I never knew that >LL>was a crime, or why being a lawyer might even be considered as being
a crime. I'll bet he paid his taxes for the work he did, and is
    not afraid to show it.

Then why are the Dems resisting showing Hunter's taxes? Where is Hunter,
    BTW?

He's a lawyer. Does legal work for whoever hires him.

    https://www.mic.com/p/what-is-hunter-biden-doing-now-21735518

And you still didn't answer the question:
Why did a Urkraine company hire Hunter, who had know knowledge in their
business, for all that money while his dad was VP?

Like I said, Hunter is a lawyer. He does legal work for those
who hire him. Whether in Ukraine, or China, or the good ol' US
of A, Hunter is there to serve.

At best, this is a conflict of interest.

Not at all. Hunter Biden is a private citizen. Even when his
father was serving as vice president, Hunter was a private citizen.
Different standards for different folks. Unnerstan'?

If it was all innocent, then the Bidens shouldn't have a problem showing
    that.

Ukraine cleared Hunter Biden, saying he broke no Ukrainian laws.
Joe Biden has also never been known to have broken any Ukrainian
laws. Or US laws for that matter. Except perhaps passing a red
light. But then, when he was US Senator, he always took the
    train ...

But they are resisting. That implies that it was not innocent.

Resisting? What are either of the Bidens resisting?
Unfounded allegations, yes. That is true. But then,
those who have made, and continue to make, unfounded
allegations are not at all innocent. But everybody
    knows that.

Like I said, he looked into it. She told him the truth. He
believed her. After all, she was an honest politician, and would
never lie. Not to him, anyway.

    A Clinton "honest"? Never happens.

Politicians never lie. They are just expedient with the truth.

Hilary created a private email server for her official use - in violation of
Federal law. She had emails, servers, phones destroyed AFTER she was told
to produce the information - in violation of Federal law.

    So?

Yes, Comey "forgave" her. But he didn't have the ability to do that.

As part of the executive branch, yes he did.

He only said that he found no "criminal intent", which was a joke since the
whole thing stank to high Heaven of criminal intent.

His job was to carry out the law, not make the law or interpret
the law. If you don't like the law, change the law.

In Comey's defence, he most likely didn't want to die mysteriously (since
that happens very frequently to people who testify against the Clintons).
So he was probably acting out of self-preservation.

Paula Jones is still alive and well.
Jennifer Flowers is still alive and well.
Monica Lewinski is still alive and well.
Even Socks the Cat is still alive and well.
Okay. Not true. Socks got stuffed but
still looks alive and well ...

So she wasn't or isn't the smartest cookie in the world ...

    *LAUGH*

I make one truthful statement and you have to laugh. How dare you!

Are you seriously telling me that someone who was Secretary of State didn't
know what was in Federal Law?

That's what she told James Comey.

Are you seriously saying that she "didn't know" that setting up a personal
server for official use was illegal?

That's what she told James Comey.

Are you seriously saying that she destroyed all those emails "by accident"?

That's what she told James Comey.

Dale was right. Serious TDS here.

    James Comey believed her.

The Russians did it. Or maybe the Russians made her do it?
Either way, those emails are long gone ...

"The Devil made me do it" hasn't been an acceptable excuse for a long, long
    time now.

Flip Wilson will be remembered forever, if only for that line. :)

With what I know of US politics is that "4 more years" is a reality as in WD>the current state of affairs I don't see what the Democrats are going to WD>come-up with. Sanders is going to succomb to a heart-attack soon enough, WD>Mayor Pete is unelectable on national level, Biden's campaign is going to WD>die a silent death and the rest ... ?

Is there nothing more uplifting to talk about ?

In politically roiled times? This soon after the democrats' impeachment show
    of shows failure?

    He's kidding, right?

BTW.....Maxine Waters is out with her latest. She says the `Crips' and
`Bloods' of LA have more `integrity' than Trump!

She has first hand experience with both outfits....after all they get her elected and sent to Congress every two years!

For those of you who may not be aware....both the Crips and the bloods are black violent street gangs who pretty much rule large parts of south and eastern Los Angeles, CA. Her district!

No, they don't. Because it doesn't match their Narrative.

Remember, for the Lefties, the Narrative is always fact. Everything else can be ignored with a "... well that's just YOUR truth."
