• Biden(s) as witnesses?

From Aaron Thomas@1:123/525 to All on Tue Jan 28 21:17:26 2020
Why is it that the democrats don't want the Bidens as witnesses? I can't find that info anywhere.

..but I can speculate that it's because they don't want Joe to embarrass himself and them by incriminating himself or his son.

The last time a reporter asked him about his influence in Ukraine his whole head tuned red & he started screaming "This isn't about me! It's about Trump!"

How will "The Red One" react when he finds out that this can be
completely about him for a few hours, in front of the US senate? I can
predict that it will make me laugh pretty hard.

Can you imagine his reactions to the questions that would be coming his way?
He will look like such an ass! Then what's the DNC gonna do? He's their "best bet!"

Lindsey Graham said that if the senate votes to allow witnesses, then he's going to demand that they subpoena little Hunter. I don't know if he can successfully demand a certain witness or not, but many, many more laughs are
in store if we get to hear from witnesses during the senate trial. We're
either gonna be laughing at corrupt Democrat sympathizers, or we'll be having victory laughs with Trump cleared & Schiff and Pelosi turning their smiles upside-down. I'm telling you, I'm gonna have to put some plastic down on my couch before I sit for that! (I have a weak bladder)

    Hello Aaron,

Why is it that the democrats don't want the Bidens as witnesses?

Does't bother me. But then, I'm not affiliated with any political
    party.

I can't find that info anywhere.

Why should Democrats be bothered about it? If Republicans want to
subpoena the Bidens, they have the power. So what is keeping them?

.but I can speculate that it's because they don't want Joe to embarrass
himself and them by incriminating himself or his son.

And yet Republicans refuse to subpoena either of the Bidens.
Why is that? They have all the power to do so. Democrats cannot
stop them, even if they wanted to. So what is keeping them?

The last time a reporter asked him about his influence in Ukraine his whole
head tuned red & he started screaming "This isn't about me! It's about Trump!"

Then put him under oath! What is keeping Republicans from doing so?
They have the power. All the power in the world.

How will "The Red One" react when he finds out that this can be
completely about him for a few hours, in front of the US senate?

Republicans can find out quite easily by issuing a subpoena.
After all, they have a majority in the Senate, and can do whatever
they want. So what is keeping them?

I can predict that it will make me laugh pretty hard.

Hey, make it a double. Morning session for Hunter, afternoon for Joe.
Or maybe a full day for each. Wouldn't that be fun? Just think of the
    ratings ...

Can you imagine his reactions to the questions that would be coming his way?
He will look like such an ass! Then what's the DNC gonna do? He's their "best bet!"

Maybe the Republican Senate should save Joe for Prime Time!

Lindsey Graham said that if the senate votes to allow witnesses, then he's
going to demand that they subpoena little Hunter.

The Senate can subpoena Hunter Biden anytime it wants. Republicans
control the Senate, and Democrats can do nothing to stop them. So
what is keeping them? Certainly not this sham trial.

I don't know if he can successfully demand a certain witness or not,

Lindsey Graham is a Republican. One of 53 Republicans in the Senate.
He does not have to convince any Democrats to go along with him.
Republicans have all the power to do what they want. So what is
keeping them from subpoenaing either or both of the Bidens?

but many, many more laughs are in store if we get to hear from witnesses
    during the senate trial.

There are not enough votes in the Senate to prevent witnesses from
being allowed to testify. So what is keeping Republicans from issuing
a subpoena to either of the Bidens? They can do it now, or later, or
whenever the hell they want. So please. What is keeping them?

We're either gonna be laughing at corrupt Democrat sympathizers, or we'll be
having victory laughs with Trump cleared & Schiff and Pelosi turning their smiles upside-down.

Politically, Republican Senators have no other choice than to vote
for acquittal, even knowing he is guilty as sin. However, acquittal
is not the same as exoneration. The truth will come out, even if it
is long after the president has left office.

I'm telling you, I'm gonna have to put some plastic down on my
couch before I sit for that! (I have a weak bladder)

Better yet, join a nudist colony and put a tv on the lawn.

On second thought, turning green grass a certain shade of brown
is not a pretty sight. So best ditch that idea.

I got so high on the idea of either and/or both Bidens as witnesses that I didn't even think about what you're saying until now. Good point. Why not
bring them in? Maybe it won't be as hilarious as I thought; the Bidens might actually have nothing illegal to hide.

But what's taking them so long to subpoena the Bidens is they haven't voted
on whether or not to allow witnesses yet. They should get on it before both Bidens disappear, if that's the route they want to go.

I don't really care strongly about what they do, but the next Republican president is going to have big shoes to fill.

If they remove him, then Pence can only run for 1 more term, correct?

Why is it that some Republicans of conscience are now appearing to talk

    Hello Aaron,

Why should Democrats be bothered about it? If Republicans want to >LL>subpoena the Bidens, they have the power. So what is keeping them?

I got so high on the idea of either and/or both Bidens as witnesses that I >didn't even think about what you're saying until now. Good point. Why not >bring them in? Maybe it won't be as hilarious as I thought; the Bidens might >actually have nothing illegal to hide.

They can do it now. Or later. Or anytime they want. They have
the power. And Democrats cannot stop them. Even if they wanted to.
And yet all Republicans do is talk, and talk, and talk. All talk
and no action. Why is that? Are they so scared they would be
caught out having nothing on either of them that it would make them
all look bad, including their beloved in the White House?

Republicans taunted Hillary Clinton during the Republican Convention
in 2016 with chants of "Lock her up!" - and yet she remains free having
never been charged with a crime.

Now Republicans are taunting the Bidens with similar chants - and yet
both Bidens remain free having never been charged with a crime.

Funny thing about "guilt by accusation" - the American people aren't
buying it. Joe Biden remains the clear favorite to win the Democratic nomination for President, and every poll is showing Joe Biden winning
easily against Donald J. Trump this coming November.

But what's taking them so long to subpoena the Bidens is they haven't voted >on whether or not to allow witnesses yet. They should get on it before both >Bidens disappear, if that's the route they want to go.

Republicans have controlled the Senate since Day 1 of the Trump maladministration. Republicans have had the power to subpoena the
Bidens since Day 1 and have chosen to do nothing. They have the
power, but are too chickenshit to use it.

I don't really care strongly about what they do, but the next Republican
president is going to have big shoes to fill.

Not to worry. Joe Biden is a Democrat. And so is Amy Klobuchar,
the most likely candidate who he will choose as his running mate.
After 16 years of Biden and Klobuchar, the American people will
have forgotten all about the nightmare they had with Donald Trump,
and then maybe the Republicans might be able to get one of GWB's
    grandchildren to take up residence.

Unless Obama's children beat them to it.

If they remove him, then Pence can only run for 1 more term, correct?

In the unlikely event the Senate chooses to convict and remove
The Orange One from office, Pence would be able to serve out the
remaining term, then run for a first term for himself, plus a
second term if he would be so lucky as to have won a first term.

But not to worry. If the Democrats succeed in removing Trump
from office, they will quickly move to impeach and remove Pence
from office, thus making Speaker Pelosi POTUS. And at age 80,
she would be the the incumbent with the most experience ...

In a way he is. He's a gossip girl who happens to have classified information and doesn't care about consequences.

Why is it that some Republicans of conscience are now appearing to talk against trump, including a previous chair of the RNC?

The vibes I get from people like Bolton is that they're tired of all the pressure & stigma involved with being part of the Trump administration and they're lashing out without regard for national security.

Sounds pretty interesting, in a disgusting way.

There is nothing unusual about giving away pens to US Senators.
And the cost is usually quite minimal, such as $15 per pen in Pelosi's
case, for a total of about $450 -

Sounds pretty interesting, in a disgusting way.

The Parker Vector pens used to sign the impeachment articles
for Bill Clinton were engraved "Untied States Senator". I have
one of those pens, only without the engraving.

Possible - but likely? Letting Ukraine burn to the ground would be a bad
thing. We'd lose an ally in a convenient location, and loose faith in an otherwise good president.

    Nobody's perfect.

Since he stood up for Syrian civilians at Russia's expense, what would he have done to Russia if he were present during the annex of Crimea? "We'll help ya
if you give us dirt on Joe Biden." I doubt that. But how about that other guy who said "We actually don't need your help with political rivals, we're
spying on their campaign on our own, and on top of that, we ain't gonna help you with Crimea because we really don't care."

Who wants illegal aliens kept in the U.S.? The Democrats.
Who wants violent criminals released without bail? The Democrats.

So far, I've seen nothing that Trump has done to jeopardize national security. But I've seen the Dems to plenty of it.

Who wants illegal aliens kept in the U.S.? The Democrats.

Only when they become citizens. And those who have been contributing to America for years should have a path to citizenship, e.g. the Dreamers.
