Reviewed for duplicates against the existing `ctrl/tdfonts/`. A `.tdf` can hold several fonts, so this compared each font's glyph data (type, spacing, character offsets and glyph block), not just whole files or names.
None of the 126 added files is a byte-identical copy of an existing file, and there are no filename collisions. But the MR adds 236 fonts in total, and only 167 of them are new and distinct.
**1. Fonts already in the repo (19)**
- `4maxx.tdf` "4Max Col Red" is identical to the existing `4maxcol.tdf` "4Max Colour" (renamed).
- The four collection files `tdfonts-2.tdf`, `tdfonts-3.tdf`, `tdfonts-4.tdf` and `tdfonts_org.tdf` contain 18 fonts that already exist as separate files:
ColorRounded (`color.tdf`), Weird (`weird.tdf`), SmAtlantis (`smat.tdf`), Metal (`metal.tdf`), THe_eDGe (`the_edge.tdf`), KEYS (`keys.tdf`), DCP_1 (`dcp_1.tdf`), SCD-Lines (`scd-line.tdf`), Andromenia (`andromed.tdf`), Metalix (`metalix.tdf`), Freak_10 (`freak-10.tdf`), Freak_2 (`freak-2.tdf`), FB-FogFont (`fb-fogft.tdf`), GUARDF2 (`guardf2.tdf`), haCKer (`hack-tdf.tdf`), hoRRor (`horr-tdf.tdf`), HeLlHoUnd (`houn-tdf.tdf`), THiS! (`this!.tdf`).
**2. Duplicates within this MR**
Most of the new single-font files are the same fonts as ones inside the collection files above:
`bigout`, `boldme`, `elite`, `fade-1`, `fade-2`, `jsfraste`, `jsfthick`, `jsfthin`, `jsfwide`, `kevin3`, `kewl-tdf`, `kolo-tdf`, `raster`, `roman`, `rounded`, `shadow`, `smallr`, `thicko`.
`4maxx.tdf` also repeats the plain "4Max" font from `4max.tdf`. Outline, Medium, Medieval, Atlantis, Steel, BlOOdY and Coder each appear in two or more of the collection files.
Dropping the four collection files (or else the single-font copies, but not keeping both) would remove all of this. Dropping only the collections would also clear all 18 of the repo duplicates in point 1. That would leave just the renamed "4Max Col Red" in `4maxx.tdf` overlapping the repo.
Same name but different glyphs, so these are real variants, not duplicates: `colosall.tdf` "Colossal" vs `colossal.tdf`, `fraktur2.tdf` vs `fraktur.tdf`, and `medium.tdf` vs the collections' "Medium".
**3. Unrelated commit on the branch**
The source branch also carries 77808714fd "sbbsecho: reply to netmail addressed to TRACE with the route taken", which changes `src/sbbs3/sbbsecho.c`, `src/sbbs3/fidodefs.h` and `docs/v322_new.md`. Merging this MR as-is would bring that sbbsecho change in with the fonts. Please rebase it out (or split it into its own MR).
