    I sort-of play by ear. That is, I've never fully learned how to read sheet music, so I try to play by ear. Sometimes I'll look up a song tab or guide for playing a certain song online if I can't figure it out easily.

    I would dare say that we all do that, to a degree... Even if you sit down
    with someone else that knows a song that you don't, you don't close your
    eyes are refuse to watch the chords or tell them not to tell you. :-)
