    Peter Frampton was the guy who invented it.

    Ummmmm...... No.

    He may be one of the most well known for using it, notably on his
    song "Do You Feel Like We Do", which I'm quite familiar with,
    having listened to it while in high school.

    He most certainly did *NOT* invent it, and wasn't even one of the
    first to use it. I admittedly had to look this up, which you can
