I agree Roland and Yamaha make good synthesizers. I currently have a Roland Juno-G - It's an old one but I like it. I originally bought a Juno-G in 2008 and had to sell it a couple years later when I was low on money, but a little bit later I bought another Juno-G.

I've messed around on some Yamaha Motif synthesizers, and I think those are fairly nice.

My understanding is that the Motif series is a somewhat top-of-the-line series from Yamaha, from the early 2010s I believe. They're nice synthesizers.

For some reason I'm reminded of this little Casio keyboard my cousin had back in the 1980's. It had a feature that allowed you to record a sample and transpose the pitch. The funnest part was the cheesy drum machine sounds it made.
